Free Traffic Methods Part 1 Articles

If you look at any information marketer who is successful and needs to bring traffic to their site, one method you can pretty much guarantee that they will be adopting is Article Writing and Posting.

They may well use pen names and they may even outsource the whole operation to other people to take care of, but the specif target will be to bring controlled traffic to their websites.

When I say controlled, I mean targeted. Anyone can get thousands upon thousands of hits a day with relative ease, but the real juice is in getting people onto your site that are looking for something specific themselves.

In today’s society, the faster we can obtain information the better. We do not want or need to wait. With a flick of a switch we can be online and searching for the answers we need.

This brings with it some negatives as people will put out loads of information that can sometimes be more damaging than good. But provided your own source of research and or information is correct and good, then you will be offering a valuable service to your readership.

Articles provide more than just traffic. If they are well constructed with the end user in mind, then you also gain a positive reputation in your chosen field and your trust meter improves.

Try selling to someone when they never met you, never heard of you, had no recommendation beforehand to be at your site, and you will stuggle without some very heavy duty testimonials to have them buy from you. Building a relationship brings you back to the key points of people knowing you, liking you and trusting you.

Articles that offer valuable information will begin this process, so traffic may be the primary reason initially, but you will soon realise that they give you more than just traffic.

For traffic reasons though, they are a great source of slow burn long term traffic. You can sometimes get short term traffic too if you are really on the pulse of the market you are writing about and getting fresh current information out there immediately.

Case in point, we recently launched a Health Blog and within 24 hours we were in Google from scratch (fresh set up domain) and getting traffic from Twitter by linking to articles on very up to the moment information we were providing.

So articles can be useful – Fact!

The link back value, the search engine loyalty, the direct traffic from article directories and the subsequent distribution can be awesome.
