Keep it Clean
Clean Out Work Cobwebs that Slow You Down
I have been having a winter clean up of my PC this past few days, which means going through many of my files and folders and getting rid of all the nonsense that sits they’re taking up valuable space.
We all think that we will just leave it there for another time, in case we need it, and because we tend to have massive disk space these days, or cheap to purchase additional storage space, we just let it all mount up.
The trouble is it slows things down over time, and can cause issues for system cleaners, back up storage devices and the like.
But another area that I recommend you clean up is your email inbox. And I do not just mean emptying the old files that are sitting on your account, but also unsubscribing from the many lists you may have found yourself on that just suck up all your time.
As a full time online marketer, I get time in my day and week to check email, but I am also wary of the fact that it can eat up my days and make me more unproductive.
If you are working in a full time job and internet work is just some extra cash for you at this point, then your time is even more valuable to you.
You will be amazed at how much time in a week/month gets wasted reading the latest and greatest deal to hit your inbox. You need to learn where the line is between research and just following email after email down the road of credit card hell.
Here are some fast tips for you to consider the next time you open your inbox.
1) Do you really NEED what you are being “recommended” right now? Will it enhance your business position in the next 2-8 weeks? If not, forget it. Best option is to delete it right away, or if you honestly feel that it WILL be useful to you later in your business
then by all means set up a POSSIBLE folder and place it in there for now.
2) Read the emails carefully. If they grab your attention, copy them into a swipe folder and leave them there. Even if you KNOW that you do not need what they are promoting, but you found yourself drawn to that link to click, then keep a copy. This could be tweaked to your benefit later when setting up your own ad campaigns.
3) Introduce the 3 strikes and their out rule. After time, you will be able to spot these earlier and just delete and unsubscribe, but in the beginning if you feel generous, then give the sender a chance. Read their emails that you subscribed to, and if you have one or
two that you feel are just not what interests you or are leaning on the spammy side, then give them the chance to make up and read a few more messages from them.
BUT, if they hit email number 3 of nonsense, spam, or just plain no interest to you, then hit the delete button then unsubscribe from their list.
Make sure that your time online is used to its most beneficial for YOU. Hang out in forums by all means to keep up to date on your topics, but do not let the 30 minutes research end up a few hours “filling time” chatting.
Consider this for just one moment.
MOST people get online and start trying to build up a list and make some cash. They spend weeks and months wasting time and trying this and that, only to complain 12 months (or earlier) down the line that they are broke and worse off than when they started.
If you picked ONE subject only that you were interested in that had affiliate related products. You then spent the two hours per day you spend chatting and browsing on building just ONE website
related to your niche and used 1 of those hours per day to write just 2 articles that you posted to directories, hub pages, squidoo and other sites, within that first year, you would have over
500 articles on the web all linking back to your site.
Trust me, that would bring you traffic if they were researched, well written and sharing information that people wanted to read about. You could even be a “guru” in your own market by that point.
Even if that only led you to 2 sales per day at a $45 value after your first year. You would be making over $32,000.00 per year for just 2 hours per day (5 days per week).
Would that be enough to encourage you to learn more, apply yourself and get over $100K a year?

observed your website on del.icio.us today and really liked it.. i bookmarked it and are going to be back to check it
