Heads Up on Something Big

Here’s some food for thought for you.

1) Imagine logging in, clicking on a review topic you like (or going through them all if you like) and then adding your ID tags and clicking go. Then you have a review to paste into your blog in a way that embeds all your id’s into the url.

The first thing to note about this plugin is that it is easy to use and the video on the site guides you if you are unsure. For newbies, this may appear a little technical at first, but its really quite simple once you get the hang of it.

The thing you need to be doing is to back up your blogs often anyway as there is nothing worse that logging in to find all your content is gone, its been hacked or its just plain broke.

If you have a backup thats ready to go, you can just install WP again and make an instant copy appear as if by magic.

The really awesome thing for me though is that you can now monetise your back ups with ease. Here are some awesome things you can do with Backup Creator aside from the obvious of making a backup for your own use.

1) Create a simple blog installation on a test domain. Set up all the features, themes and plugins you would usually use, configure the Permalinks etc and then clone it.

Now whenever you need a new blog installed, just click via fantastico to set up a base one, then use your backup to upload in seconds all the basic settings you would usually have.

2) Make Money – This is pretty cool as you can now make simple sites (client type sites) and then offer free web services in your home town (even online if you like). Make a great site and then clone it, selling the new site to people who want ready made niche sites. The great part here is as you are cloning, you can keep selling the base site to people and just install on their own domain name :) If you get really clever, you can build some awesome content and a little sales, then flip on sites like flippa.com for a profit, continue to add more content to your base site and then flip that one :)

One thing that is not often covered when marketing your product online is about objection handling. I dont know if this is because many marketing gurus never did real sales in their life before, or its because people just assume that the online world is not the same as face to face selling?

Well, here is the low down for you! Its the SAME!

I know, we can dress it up all we like, I can tell you that you dont ever see your prospect, and that means you now have an easy sell, but I would be lying to you. You see, whilst some of that is true in the sense that you really dont ever have to face the person in the flesh, in some ways this actually makes your selling process harder.

Here is some of the reasons why:

In the real world, or the physical world, people purchase from people. Lets take an example from my past days in sales.

I used to work in Recruitment and it can be a very tough and competitive industry, especially when like me you find yourself in Oxford Street in London competing with literally hundreds of other business owners who are supplying in your niche sector(s).

When it came down to it, the reality was that people would purchase based on three simple criteria.

1) Price
2) Supply
3) Quality of the service and the person who was selling it.

Most clients wanted to get their service at the right price, from someone able to meet their supply demands and then in most instances from someone they were happy to deal with, who they felt was working with their best interest and could supply the quality that they require.

In this scenario, if 10 consulting firms turned up with an offer based mainly around the same price and all able to meet the supply, who do you think was most likely to get the sale?

The person who built rapport, and truly understood the customers needs. This is where many people miss the point when selling products online. They forget to listen to the needs of their potential customers.

You may now wonder, how the heck do you do that? I will get back to that in one moment, but lets continue with our offline client first of all.

I started in sales as a telephone canvasser, working evenings and weekends selling ad space in a locar car magazine. Then later in life I sold ad space in a London Magazine to earn some extra cash and later moved into recruitment following a long spell in the catering trade as a chef and manager.
The first time I really had training in sales was once I reached the recruitment business. Prior to that time it had all been hit and miss learning curves :)

But the one most important point that the people training me said was that you had two eyes and one mouth and should use them accordingly. When meeting with a client, you should not be the one doing all the talking, especially when you first sat down. The process should be about listening, confirming then delivery. Finally you should always “ask for the business”

If we now take this back to our online business we can say that our Salespage should actually be the final two steps to the above and not the first two. The trouble with most salesletters is that they only address the last two. Delivery of what I am going to do for you and asking for the sale.

These are very important, but if we do not first “Listen” to our customers and “Confirm” to them what they have asked for is being listened to, we make it much harder to make that sale.

The only way to bypass this is when we take the emotional standpoint from the beginning and paint a scenario to our visitors whom we are trying to build a connection with.

This is highly effective if you can align yourself with your reader. How many salesletters have you read where the headline reflects on your own position or the content talks about coming from the lowest of the low and winning through? They do this because more people can associate this than not, especially in the make money online niche.

But what if you are selling a product on Dog Grooming, or Improve your Golf Swing?
The only way you can ever do this is to either: 1) Know from your own experience how that feels and tell your story. 2) Learn from someone in this position or leverage their experiences and become the Journalist or 3) do your research to discover what your niche market is asking, needing and wanting.

The awesome part of the internet is that information is there in abundance, and you just need to go out and pluck it.

* Join forums and groups
* Read posts by others in your target niche on Facebook and Twitter
* Read articles online and track news stories
* Follow the Ask type sites, like Yahoo Answers and see what people need.
* Look to Google and search engines to see what popular search terms are made in that niche
* Check out sites like VideoJug. These are video sites that are How To! See plenty of video views and you

Its had over 1.7Million views the last time I looked.

Remember when you make a product. Dont make it until you KNOW your potential customer wants it. What do you think is easier? Selling your new flashy wonder product that hardly anyone is asking for, or selling a simple if a little droll product that everybody needs to solve their problem?

Basically, blogs were first introduced as weblogs that refer to a “server’s log file.” It was created when web logging hit the virtual market. Since its inception in the mid-1990s, web logging gradually saturated the virtual community making the Internet a viable source of greater information.

However, with web logging, you still need a web site and domain names, but with blogging, you do not need anything just an account with blog providers. In most cases, these kinds of blogs are free of charge.

With the onset of blogging in the industry, personal journaling had been a common ground for people who wish to be known all over the world. However, not literally famous as this is not a case on being popular or well-known personality.

After all, its information technology that you have there so better be inclined to provide information rather than sheer quirky entertainment.

4. Avoid making multifaceted and complicated blogs

In order to have an interesting blogs, try not to use some highly technical and highfalutin words. After all, it is not a science discourse or a debate that you are making, so better stick to simple facts and short blogs.

Bear in mind that most people who use the Internet usually do more scanning than scrutinizing each site word for word. Therefore, it would be better to come with blogs that will not bore your readers just because you have these lengthy articles.

5. Make it interactive

As much as possible and if your capacity will allow it, make your blog interactive. Yu can do this by placing some video or audio clips in your blog.

You can even place an area for comments or for some feedbacks. In this way, you can get some impressions or reactions of other people. Who knows, you might even gain some friends just by making them feel at home in your blog site.

Indeed, blogs are not created just for the mere fun of it. It also has its own purpose in the world of the Internet.
Therefore, for people who wish to harness their craft, as far as writing is concerned, blogs are the best way to do it.
